RESPONSE TO "CHOOSE YOU TOPIC"

In the section labeled “Brainstorm Topic Ideas: Read, Talk, Stretch, and Enjoy”, it talks about ways you can come up with your own topics. Here’s what you can do. Reading online, choose a topic and start surfing the web. BE CAREFUL! Don’t get carried away in your search. Just because you see a site with enough information, try to seek some information through the references that were used in the article you found. Second, you can talk to people about your topics. You’ll be amazed about how much questions you come across on your topic. Third, make a list. Create a list of topics you found interest in and choose the one you think is more significant to yourself. Fourth, try freewriting. Choose a topic and just start writing about it. It doesn’t have to make sense, because you are writing for yourself. Lastly, you can mind map. Choose a topic and write create creative detailing for that topic. The best way to find a topic I believe is to surf the internet. It is so much information you can find online, things you had no idea of. A way you can avoid choosing a topic you have an answer to is to choose a topic that is way out of your comfort zone. For example, you maybe a Muslim, try a topic about Jewish communities. That way you can learn about a culture other than your own and your open-minded to other communities. You never know how much similarities you can find.
